Don’t Forget to Self Care!

The past few weeks have been really hectic. Not just for me. I am sure that everyone is feeling the many drastic changes the world is going through. We have to make adjustments to make the world a better place for everyone.
During the crazy moments, don't forget to take the time to take care of yourself. Use this time to take a breather and fall in love again with yourself. Here are some of the ways you can do that.
1. Meditate
We are always asked to detox our clothes, our house, office and even body. We also need to detox our mind! And one of the best ways to do that is by meditating. Do it early in the morning so that you can face the struggles of the day with calmness and positive thinking.
2. Read a book
When was the last time you read a book? Any book? Maybe now is the time to pick up one that speaks to you. It doesn't have to "Lord of the Rings" type of books. Grab some comics or a magazine and take 20 mins away from your gadgets. I usually read "Archie" or "Doraemon" comics to get some laughs and cheer into my day.
3. Tea & Cake
Anytime I need a pick-me-up, I will always head to CBTL and get me some Chai Tea Latte. If I need something sweeter, cheesecake and brownies are my best friends. And after my little sweet treat, that feeling of happiness follows me everywhere.

4. Facial Time
Sometimes, when we are too stressed up, it is hard to sleep. I would recommend a massage but unfortunately, we have to social distance unless you have someone at home who gives great massages. Then, lucky you! So the next best thing is plop that face mask before you sleep and feel your face absorb its positive nutrients.
5. Watch TV
In the age of Netflix and Youtube, we are really spoiled for choice when it comes down to what to watch. Watching our favourite shows are a great way to take care of ourselves. That 30 mins to 1 hour of zoning out actually helps us to relax and tune out the rest of the world. So by all means, if you need to, take some time to be a couch potato!
Pulling ourselves out of a dark place is not as easy as ABC. But if we take some minutes of our day to destress, we can protect our mental health. Hope you all have a wonderful weekend and Stay At Home!
